Fungi Dance is a Sumingashi ink painting embellished with gold leaf and comes ready to hang or stood up on a flat surface. It is in a float frame, wedged in between two pieces of glass to appreciate the entire piece and textured edges.
Sumingashi is an ancient Japanese art that means “ink-floating” and is the equivalent to marbling. This meditative process uses ink dipped into a tray of water where the ink floats on the surface and spreads as another color is laid on top. Various designs are achieved by blowing air or dragging a tool through the water.
9" x 11" black float frame included
